One or two good songs does not a good album make.

Also, recognize that you are biased as the fuck. You purchase any and everything Janet related, good or bad. I swear you tried to get her retainer off of eBay from the Good Times days. That almost renders your opinion moot. It’s hard to have an objective opinion if you refuse to take her titty out your mouth.

Eddie- Well…Eddie has a lot of damned kids. And she IS a Spice Girl. I mean, really. David Beckham snatched up the only respectable one. Would YOU want to procreate with a girl who’s one claim to fame was membership in a singing group with the collective talent of a damp sponge? Methinks not. Dude’s in denial.

Li’l Wayne– Sounds like an angry little kid. He’s mad because Jay-Z wants his toy back. Naw, Jay-Z! It’s not yours no more! Nuh-uh! We said black, black, no take backs, remember?

Jay-Z and 5%-ers–dude, that’s a stretch even for you. By that logic, he’s basically calling himself a male MC–this is not sufficiently distinctive to warrant a stage name change. I’d totally forgotten about the 5%-ers. The ones I knew all had names like Cypher and El, and like half of them ended up marrying white women. Not that there’s anything wrong with that–it’s been my observation such unions often result in production of the most delightful little yellow blogger men with superiority complexes and great senses of humor. But it was still funny.

LL Cool J…he deserves respect for being around so long and remaining even somewhat relevant, true. But umm…at this point, that’s about it. AND, he has been taking shots at Jay-Z lately. In the press, just all out open season on Jay. Even said he wouldn’t re-sign to Def Jam because Jay was at the helm. And that’s damn near verbatim.

So if I’m Jay, and I do decide to respond to LL, I’d take his entire career down. All of LL’s failures at this point are of his own doing. Have you heard his albums? Sheesh…no lie, if I had to pick between Young Jeezy and LL…I’m Young Jeezy all day. I luv it!

Jay-Hova…I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt here and claim that he’s using the term “God” MC in the 5-percent context, where men are referred to as “gods”, women as “earths”, kids as “seeds”, etc…then again, most folks don’t know much about the 5-Percenters so it’s possible to get all of that misconstrued.

And…Oprah started it!!

Truth be told, I hit XXL online every morning before I do anything for just a quickie.

sidenote - Don’t you hate it when someone interrupts you looking at your favorite site to do some actual damn work. WTF!

1) I hope the “50 Dynasty” is crumbling. I mean, how long can someone go around just creating beef for a living? And then you try to start with Oprah of all people over some B.S.? Gimme a break.

2) It amazes me that someone who’s done as much for something as LL has done for HipHop can receive so little respect from his “successors.” I mean he was like the first to make “talking through music” an actual occupation…that makes money! lol That’s an incredible feat if you ask me. He deserves props for just that alone! *Sigh* Movin on’…

3) Finally, if any hip-hop expert reads this, please enlighten me on something that has puzzled me for some time now: Why does Jay-Z call himself “J-Hova?” I saw him get interviewed about it and its religious implications recently and he denied that he was calling himself “God.” But I found his explanation confusing at best…contradictory at worst. The J-Hova/ Jehova thing rubs me the wrong way. Then again, I’m not a hip-hop head so I could be looking at it all wrong. Just curious…

So old people aren’t keeping it real. Hence the reason why Janet and LL can’t sell any albums. Janet’s been making the same album since Rhythm Nation, just raunchier.

I was watching her perfomance on the Billboard Awards last night, and she’s been doing the same dances since then too. And wearing the same outfits! I feel like she put us all in the twilight zone!

Ditto on LL. He sounds more and more like a chester on every album he does. Jay Z matching up with him, Ether style, dissecting his career…oh lord! I mean, nobody can deny LL from Mama Said Knock You Out and prior. Shit, he introduced Foxy and DMX…Def Jam history! HOWEVER, he messsed up his own career, trying to compete with Nelly instead of keeping it real…

Oh and how are you gonna not mention the video/song the by the rock band, Nice Peter, that is posted on allhiphop.com. That has got to be the funniest thing I have heard in months.
