My biggest beef with him isn’t his style. He’s a shock jock, I said that in the post. My problem with him is that he not only refuses to acknowledge that his comments are fucked up (which they are…shock jock or not) but he tries to place the blame elsewhere and say that its hood culture to do so. And that is just utter bullshit. He ain’t owning his shit and decided that, “I do this for the culture…” I disagree with that and for that I think he’s full of shit.

Instead of saying, yeah I said it and you know, maybe it was a bit much but FUCK ENVY, he decides that Bill O’Reilly might not understand why its okay to make comments like that because Bill doesn’t understand the ‘hood. Like for real, that’s lunacy.

Like I said, I live in the hood and sure the jabs fly back and forth but kids are usually out of the question. It’s been proven that folks take the kids seriously, especially since this nigga was asking for addresses and shit to go find his kid, whether he’d do it or not, that’s over the line. But saying that we do that in the hood so white folks might not get it? Come the fuck on.

Star is not “hood” in my opinion, the cat is from the burbs of NJ. Second, one thing people tend to overlook is that DJ Envy threatened Star first. In fact Star has gone on record saying that he’s here to “rape the game”. He knows exactly what he’s doing he’s putting that image out there just to get a buzz.

I remember back in the day Howard Stern wished for one of his competitors to get AIDS and Cancer.

Granted Star went a little too far threatening DJ Envy’s kid. You really can’t defend that.

All that being said he’s very funny and a his show was really funny and insightful. I would go so far as to say that it was one of the most honest shows on radio, WAYYYY better than Tom Joyner and Steve Harvey. Star is the only guy who put a guy like Paul Mooney on his show and give him free reign. His stchick is very transparent. Bottomline IT’S AN ACT. Granted it is a dangerous one but it is an ACT none the less.

Star is as “hood” as Lil Jon.
