Well Hostess, the only word I can think of for that sad phenomenon is:

Tragedy.

As a smaller person who had gained weight in the midsection, I know for a fact, women are aware and choose to ignore. I also know that all jeans aren't low-rise. I made a conscious effort to go out and buy new jeans that were not low rise.

Second, MOST white women are square shaped. No matter if they have a flat tummy that doesn't hang over their pants or not, they are square. The jeans have to cut into their back/ass space and because they are sooo square, no matter if they are skinny, some skin is going to hang over their jeans in the back. Or at best, it will look like the waist of the jeans is digging into their back/ass section.

Problem with some of the fashion is that it's made for people who are below a size 6. So that HS chick who is a size 6 or below will get a new outfit and all her size 6 and above friends want to wear the same thing only problem is that they got a size 6 and below as well. I see all the damm time among young teenage girls.

I understand wanting to be free and wearing what you want etc...etc.. but people need to realize that they need to wear size and AGE appropriate clothing.

O mi goodness! I so agree!!!!!

I hate writing on the booty of the pants. That mess is so disturbing!

And the low rise! Oh! The low rise!!! The only problem with at one is, for years, I mean at least 2-3 summers, that was all you could get!!! It was like either your wore the low rise, or you wore the tapered leg,waist-line up to your bosom, mommy jeans. There was no alternatives. And the rise just kept getting lower and lower....

I am so glad that seems to be over!!!
