Yes, I saw that article on allhiphop earlier today. And that article is VERY misleading. Especially the SOHH version you referenced. For one, the title says that rap drives folks to drink and use drugs and the very article even admits that you cannot presume that rap drives folks that way.

It just so happens that a bunch of college students, who are probably largely listening to rap right now, as it is the most commercially present music out now, happen to drink and use drugs.

NO!!! College students drinking and using drugs????!!! Holy shit...somebody stop the presses and stop the hiphoppers from causing COLLEGE students to drink and use drugs.

Not to totally admonish the findings, but that is potentially the least useful study regarding rap and its influence ever. They picked college students. Probably 18-22 year olds. What does that group listen to right now?? Nelly. or Snoop. Talk to me when they have a more inclusive group of people of varying age ranges. Because you cannot TELL me that country music fans who are older arent as apt to drink as 18-22 year old kids who listen to rap.

So, I pooh-pooh on that article.

'The PC is hoe hatas / that's the muafuckin reason all these hoes hate us”. That JT Money was kinda sweet to me back then. He had a dumb flow that was genious at the same time. Kinda like Willie D. I luv them dudes.

Speaking of 'Peter Piper' that HAS to be a qualified contender for best beat ever. Hands down. Plus with JMJ's cutting...it's a wrap! How many times have you seen a club DJ keep putting their own variations on the 'not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good' part?? Classic.

Damn it. I haven't had the ball point pen issue yet, but you JUST reminded me that I left my clothes in the dryer late last night and forgot to get them out this morning before I went to work.

Man if ever there was a line that was true, it's:

I hate hoes...Hoes hate me.

I been quoting that since, well since the first time I heard it. It's simple. Yet so on the mark!
