Okay, but here's my question. WHAT IN THE DEUCE IS PATRIOTIC ABOUT CAMOFLAUGE???? I mean I'm no Betsy Ross or anything, but I don't consider camoflauge - the clothing that ANY soldier wears to hide himself amongst the foliage and underbrush, so he can ambush and kill you... is necessarily so "American."

And if to this generation America is equated with war, death and sneaky destruction, then dammit, schools aren't doing a bad job, those kids know more about this country than I did when I was in Junior High.

Instead of focusing on their clothes, these schools need to focus on all the dummies they are churning out. US education is awful and they need to step their game up.

Kids BEEN rocking camo. It's not neccessarily a show of patriotism...it's moreso a fashion thing. Nothing's wrong with that (even though I can't rock it cuz I don't think it looks good on me). Schools and society should focus moreso on 'hate' emblems such as Confederate, Nazi, and other hatred symbols as oppose to camo. I feel sorry for any kid who feel like they're being targeted by another kid wearing camo. It just doesn't make sense and they need to stand down on that one.

it's IS interesting. You know the thing with school districts, and educators, they have to go with the current political climate because it changes so much. What is inflammatory today won't even damn matter next Fall. I kind of feel sorry for them because it is a tough balancing act. They really can seem reactive, when they are trying to be proactive. It's lose-lose. They just want to get through the day with no Columbine shit popping off and no gunplay. It makes me thankful I went to private schools K-12, but at the same time, I was naive to real world shit being insulated so much. The only controversy we had in HS related to attire was when the administration decided that those colorful leather (uh, pleather?) medallions with Africa, or Malcolm X, or something of that ilk were "divisive" to our already lily white academic environment. It was ridiculous.

Lest the accomplishments of a few Americans offend the, wait, who don't they want in this country again...Oh the Messicans.
